Posted On: 13 OCT 2026 6:38PM by PIB Chennai

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) operationalised a new state-of-the-art Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) in Kanyakumari today, further strengthening resident-centric service delivery mechanisms across the district.

The new facility was inaugurated by Thiru M. Prathap, District Collector of Kanyakumari, who attended as Chief Guest alongside officials from the UIDAI Regional Office, Bengaluru, and operational management partners M/s BLS International. During the event, the District Collector reviewed the centre’s operational infrastructure, interacted with visiting residents, and inspected the enrolment and update procedures.

Equipped with four operational counters, the Kanyakumari ASK offers single-window delivery for fresh enrolments, demographic and biometric updates, and regional grievance redressal. The wheelchair-accessible facility will function on all days except public holidays, with online appointment booking facilities made available via the UIDAI portal.

With this launch, UIDAI has operationalised 21 Aadhaar Seva Kendras across Tamil Nadu, with plans to establish 9 additional centres in the coming days to complete a state-wide network of 30 facilities.
