To ensure road safety and maintain smooth traffic flow in the capital city of Raipur, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is taking continuous action against encroachments and unauthorized access points. In line with this, an illegal entry near commercial establishments at Telibandha on Ring Road No. 1 has been closed. Meanwhile, anti-encroachment action continues in the Bhatagaon area of Ring Road No. 1.

The Honorable Supreme Court and High Courts have emphasized the importance of keeping public roads safe and accessible. The removal of unauthorized encroachments and access points on national highways is carried out in accordance with applicable rules and relevant directions of competent courts.

In this regard, NHAI Regional Officer Mr. Alok Kumar stated that ensuring road safety and maintaining smooth traffic flow on national highways is NHAI's priority. Unauthorized access points and encroachments increase the risk of road accidents. Keeping this in mind, continuous action is being taken against encroachments on national highways. Our goal is to ensure that traffic on national highways remains safe, organized, and uninterrupted.

To maintain road conditions and ensure safe and smooth journeys for drivers, NHAI is continuously conducting patchwork repair work on national highways. Damaged sections and potholes are being identified and repaired to keep the roads in better condition and provide a safer commute.

NHAI is taking necessary measures to remove encroachments on national highways, control unauthorized entry routes, and resolve illegal parking issues. Citizens and commuters are appealed to avoid using unauthorized median cuts, illegal parking, and unauthorized entry points, and to cooperate in maintaining a safe and smooth system.
