The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, in collaboration with its attached and subordinate offices, is actively participating in Special Campaign 6.0 from 2nd October to 31st October 2026.
The campaign aims to institutionalise Swachhata and reduce pendency in Government offices, with a focus on improving administrative efficiency and promoting a cleaner and more responsive work environment.
A Senior Official in the Ministry said that prior to the commencement of the implementation phase, the Ministry undertook the necessary preparatory activities during the preparatory phase from 15th to 30th September 2026. The Ministry and its attached and subordinate organisations are now actively implementing the campaign activities, which commenced on 2nd October 2026.
He said this year's campaign places special emphasis on the effective collection, segregation and disposal of electronic waste (e-waste), in strict adherence to the guidelines of the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022. The initiative seeks to promote responsible e-waste management practices and strengthen environmental sustainability across Government offices, he added.
As part of the campaign, focused efforts are being undertaken to ensure the timely clearance of pending matters relating to references from Members of Parliament, State Governments and the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), inter-ministerial communications, Parliamentary Assurances, public grievances and appeals received through the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS). These efforts are aimed at reducing pendency and strengthening accountability and responsiveness in administrative functioning.

Aligned with the vision of Swachh Bharat and the objective of enhancing citizens' experience with Government offices, the Ministry's attached and subordinate organisations are extending their full cooperation to outdoor cleanliness drives. These activities seek to promote cleanliness in and around Government establishments and encourage the adoption of sustainable practices.
Through the coordinated implementation of Special Campaign 6.0, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is working towards institutionalising cleanliness, ensuring effective waste management and facilitating the timely disposal of pending matters. The campaign will continue until 31st October 2026.
