NIT Raipur's 20 Faculty Members Feature in Stanford University’s Top 2% World Scientists Ranking

In a significant research milestone for the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur, twenty faculty members from the institute have been featured in the prestigious 'World Ranking of Top 2% Scientists/Researchers' released by Stanford University, USA, for the year 2025. Prepared annually in collaboration with Elsevier through the ICSR lab using Scopus data, the global ranking evaluates researchers across diverse fields of Science and Technology based on standardized citation metrics, highlighting NIT Raipur's growing scientific prowess and innovation footprint.

Demonstrating NIT Raipur's sustained scholarly contributions, eight faculty members secured positions under the "Career-long Impact (up to 2025)" category. The recognized researchers from the institute include Dr. Awanish Kumar Kiran (Biotechnology), Dr. Govind Prasad Gupta (Information Technology), Dr. Mohan Kumar Pradhan (Mechanical Engineering), Dr. Lata Sheo Bachan Upadhyay (Biotechnology), Dr. Pradeep Kumar Singh (Computer Science & Engineering), Dr. Dilip Singh Sisodia (Computer Science & Engineering), Dr. Sachin Jain (Electrical Engineering), and Dr. Subhojit Ghosh (Electrical Engineering).
Under the "Single-Year Impact (2025)" category, which reflects active research visibility and active citation influence, eighteen faculty members brought laurels to NIT Raipur: Dr. Awanish Kumar, Dr. Govind Prasad Gupta, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Singh, Dr. Rakesh Tripathi, Dr. Sudip Kumar Sinha, Dr. Pratima Gupta, Dr. Dilip Singh Sisodia, Dr. Ayush Khare, Dr. R. R. Janghel, Dr. Anamika Yadav, Dr. Sudip Paul, Dr. Karnati Mohan, Dr. Satya Eswari Jujjavarapu, Dr. Lata Sheo Bachan Upadhyay, Dr. Mayur Vitthalrao Katwe, Dr. Kafeel Ahmad Siddiqui, Dr. Kaushal Kumar Nigam, and Dr. Sachin Jain.

Among the key contributors, NIT Raipur researchers advanced frontiers in Pharmacology and Drug Discovery (Dr. Awanish Kumar Kiran); Biotechnology, Biosensors, and Bioprocess Engineering (Dr. Pratima Gupta, Dr. Lata Sheo Bachan Upadhyay, Dr. Satya Eswari Jujjavarapu); and Artificial Intelligence, Soft Computing, and Machine Learning (Dr. Govind Prasad Gupta, Dr. Pradeep Singh, Dr. Dilip Singh Sisodia, Dr. Rakesh Tripathi, Dr. R.
