District Opium Office, Mandsaur Second Division, Mandsaur, conducts awareness programme under Mission Yuva Raksha

The District Opium Office, Mandsaur Second Division, Mandsaur, organised an awareness programme under “Mission Yuva Raksha” at Sharda Public School, Pipliya Mandi, with the objective of sensitizing students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and creating awareness regarding the importance of a drug-free life.

At the beginning of the programme, the participants were provided with information about the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN), its role, functions and contribution towards prevention of drug abuse and enforcement of narcotics-related laws.
Thereafter, a Question-and-Answer Competition was organized to make the awareness activities more effective, interactive and participatory. Through the competition, students were sensitized about the manner in which drug abuse can adversely affect an individual’s physical and mental health, family life, education, career and overall future. Important information was also shared regarding the harmful effects of various addictive substances, preventive measures and the role of youth in building a drug-free society.
At the conclusion of the programme, the participating students and other participants took a Drug-Free India Pledge, committing themselves to staying away from drugs and contributing actively towards the creation of a healthy and drug-free society.

The programme was successfully conducted with the coordination and cooperation of the Principal of Sharda Public School, Pipliya Mandi. Approx 150 students participated enthusiastically in the programme, and the participants gave highly positive and encouraging feedback regarding the awareness activities.
The programme aimed to create awareness among young people about the dangers of drug abuse and to motivate them to contribute towards building a drug-free, healthy and responsible society. The programme concluded successfully with active participation and positive engagement from the students.
