As part of the nationwide ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ fortnight being observed from September 17 to October 02, 2026, NTPC Nava Raipur organised ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ (Plantation Drive) and ‘Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ (Shramdan Initiative) on October 01, 2026, in the vicinity of its office premises.

The initiative aimed at fostering volunteerism and reinforcing collective action toward building a clean and sustainable environment.

Led by Shri Ravindra Kumar, Director (Operations), NTPC, employees of the Nava Raipur establishment turned out in large numbers to dedicate an hour of voluntary labour for cleanliness and environmental stewardship. In alignment with this year’s theme, ‘Swachhata Mein Sahbhag; Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat’, the workforce actively engaged in deep cleaning the surroundings and planting saplings to expand green cover around the workplace.

The drive witnessed the participation of senior management, including Shri Ajay Sharma, Executive Director (Operational Services); Shri Bidya Nand Jha, Executive Director (OS - R&M); Shri Alok Kumar Tripathi, Executive Director (CC OS); Shri Harsh Ahuja, Executive Director (USSC); along with Chief General Managers, General Managers, and other senior officials.
