Hon’ble MoS Shri B. L. Verma Leads Shramdaan Activity under “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath” Theme in Delhi
Shramdaan Activity Reaffirms Commitment to Jan Bhagidari and the Vision of Swachh Bharat and Viksit Bharat

As part of the Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign, a Shramdaan activity was organised at the Mahila Imdad Committee (MIC), Paharganj area in National Capital here today under the leadership of Shri B. L. Verma, Hon’ble Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, in line with the campaign theme “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath.”

Shri Verma actively participated in the Shramdaan activity and led the cleanliness activities at the premises.


He briefed the participants about the Swachh Bharat Mission, which was launched by Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, on October 2, 2014, as a national movement across the length and breadth of the country. He also highlighted the achievements made under the movement.



Emphasising the importance of Jan Bhagidari in sustaining the momentum of the cleanliness movement, Shri Verma appealed to everyone to make Swachhata an integral part of their daily routine.
He called upon citizens to collectively contribute towards keeping their homes, workplaces and public spaces clean, reinforcing the spirit of shared responsibility and participation.

Officers of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) also actively participated in the Shramdaan activity.

The participants collectively undertook cleanliness and sanitation activities at and around the premises, reaffirming their commitment to the spirit of Jan Bhagidari.

The Shramdaan activity reflects the Ministry’s commitment to the objectives of Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 and the broader vision of a Swachh Bharat and Viksit Bharat. The initiative further underscores the importance of collective participation in making cleanliness a sustained public movement and an integral part of everyday life.

The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment continues to support initiatives that promote cleanliness, public participation and collective responsibility.

The Shramdaan activity under the Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath theme reinforces the message that sustained cleanliness can be achieved through active participation and shared commitment towards a cleaner and more developed India.
