A group of journalists from Jaipur, Rajasthan, led by Shri Amit Kanaujia, Assistant Director (IIS), Press Information Bureau (PIB), Jaipur, visited the Visakhapatnam Division of South Coast Railway and met Shri Lalit Bohra, Divisional Railway Manager and Shri K. Pavan Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager at the DRM Office, Visakhapatnam, today.

During the interaction, Shri Lalit Bohra, DRM, Visakhapatnam Division, briefed the visiting media representatives on the major achievements, operational performance and developmental initiatives undertaken by the Division. He highlighted the Division’s efforts towards improving passenger amenities, enhancing safety, strengthening railway infrastructure and providing better services to passengers.

Shri K. Pavan Kumar, Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager, explained the various station development and modernisation projects being undertaken at important railway stations across the Division. The presentation covered the ongoing initiatives aimed at upgrading station infrastructure, improving passenger facilities and transforming railway stations into modern transportation hubs.

A  presentation highlighting the achievements of Visakhapatnam Division, ongoing developmental works and station modernisation projects was also presented during the meeting. The visiting journalists interacted with the railway officials and sought details on various projects and initiatives.

The interaction provided the visiting media delegation with an overview of the developmental journey of Visakhapatnam Division and its efforts towards providing modern, safe and passenger-friendly railway services.

The media visit is being organised under the Government of India’s DCID scheme, with the objective of showcasing the effective implementation of various public welfare schemes and infrastructure development projects and disseminating information about these initiatives to a wider audience.
