Indian Institute of Management Raipur will host the Second International Case Conference (ICC 2027) on January 30 and 31, 2027, at its Naya Raipur campus, with pre-conference workshops scheduled for January 29. Following the success of the inaugural edition held in 2026, the institute has invited faculty members, researchers, PhD scholars and practitioners to submit original and unpublished cases for the conference.
Themed “Emerging Markets, Emerging Technologies: The Next Chapter in Case-Based Learning”, ICC 2027 will provide a platform for discussion on contemporary business challenges, policy developments, emerging technologies and the changing dynamics of Indian and global businesses. The conference will cover areas including contemporary business practices, the impact of Government of India policies, the application of Artificial Intelligence in business decision-making and the globalisation of Indian business strategies.
Prof. Sanjeev Prashar, Director In-Charge, Indian Institute of Management Raipur and Chief Patron of ICC 2027, said the conference would provide an opportunity to develop relevant and practice-oriented cases that bring real-world business challenges and organisational dilemmas into the classroom. He invited educators, researchers and practitioners to share their experiences and insights through cases reflecting the realities of the contemporary business environment.
The conference will feature case submissions across diverse areas, including strategy and governance; marketing and customer-centric innovation; finance and financial technology; human resource management and organisational behaviour; operations and supply chain management; sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance; public policy and Public Sector Undertaking transformation; Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies; entrepreneurship and family business; and humanities and communication in management.
Contributors will also have an opportunity to compete for Best Case Awards across individual presentation tracks. The Overall Best Case Awards will carry prizes of ₹15,000, ₹10,000 and ₹7,000. Accepted cases will also be considered for inclusion in an International Standard Book Number (ISBN)-numbered Conference Proceedings volume.
As part of the conference programme, IIM Raipur will organise a Case Writing Workshop and a Case Teaching Workshop on January 29. The workshops will cover case idea generation, research and interviews, case structuring, development of exhibits and teaching notes, classroom facilitation, and the use of multimedia and Artificial Intelligence tools in case-based teaching.
The Case House of IIM Raipur continues to promote India-centric and practice-based case development and strengthen the case-method approach to management education, in line with the institute’s vision of “Building Business Owners”. The last date for submission of cases for ICC 2027 is November 30, 2026.
