Bureau of Indian Standards Conducts Search and Seizure Operation in Bengaluru
BIS Bengaluru Branch Office seizes 1,350 electronic video projectors valued at approximately ₹5 crore for misusing the BIS Registration Mark

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Bengaluru Branch Office, under Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution conducted a successful search and seizure operation today, September 09, 2026, at M/s Zeblaze Solutions LLP, located at 731, 3rd Floor, 1st Main Road, New Town Main Road, 4th Phase, Yelahanka New Town, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
The enforcement operation was executed under the supervision of Smt. Vinodini Kishore, Scientist-E/Director, along with Shri Vijay Kumar, Scientist-D, and other designated BIS officials. This action was undertaken as part of the Bureau's ongoing enforcement mandate to prevent the misuse of the BIS Standard Mark and Registration Mark, thereby safeguarding consumers from non-conforming and potentially hazardous products.
During the course of the operation, officials seized 1,350 electronic video projectors, with an estimated market value of approximately ₹5 crore. The seized products, which were being marketed under the brand name WZATCO, were found to be illegally bearing the BIS Registration Mark. This unauthorized use constitutes a direct violation of the stringent provisions laid down in the BIS Act, 2016. Based on the evidence gathered during this operation, the Bureau of Indian Standards will initiate stringent legal proceedings against the concerned parties under the applicable sections of the BIS Act, 2016.
BIS consistently undertakes routine search and seizure operations based on actionable intelligence regarding the misuse of its certification and Registration Marks. These proactive measures are critical to protecting consumers from deceptive market practices and halting the circulation of substandard products.
