The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) operationalized a new state-of-the-art Aadhaar Seva Kendra (ASK) at Dharmapuri today, further strengthening resident-centric identity services in the district. The facility was inaugurated by Chief Guest Smt. A. NithyaLakshmi, District Revenue Officer, in the presence of senior officials from UIDAI Regional Office Bengaluru, M/s Protean, and local staff.

Equipped with four operational kits, the Dharmapuri ASK serves as a single-window facility offering new enrolments, demographic and biometric updates, and grievance redressal. The center operates on all days except public holidays and features inclusive infrastructure, including wheelchair accessibility and dedicated facilities for residents. It will also process resident grievances directly for resolution via the Regional Office.

With this launch, UIDAI now operates 11 ASKs across Tamil Nadu, with 19 additional centers scheduled to open shortly, bringing the total state footprint to 30 UIDAI-run facilities. Managed daily by M/s Protean eGov Technologies Limited, the center allows residents to pre-book appointments online via the official portal (https://bookappointment.uidai.gov.in/).
