Ms. Sanjana Arya assumed charge as the new Regional Passport Officer, Ghaziabad, on 01 September 2026.

Ms. Sanjana Arya is a distinguished officer of the 2018 batch of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS). Prior to assuming charge as Regional Passport Officer, Ghaziabad, she served at the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi, the Embassy of India in Seoul and the High Commission of India in Colombo. During these tenures, she has discharged various important responsibilities.

Upon assuming the charge, Ms. Sanjana Arya stated that her foremost priority would be to ensure that passport-related services are provided to citizens in a simple, accessible, transparent and timely manner, in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India . She further emphasized the need for continuous improvement in the quality and efficiency of passport service delivery, with a strong focus on citizen convenience.
