Marking a resounding success in youth empowerment and regional capacity building, the Phase II Residential Pre-Recruitment Training Program for Agniveer aspirants formally culminated today at Agartala Military Station. Conducted under the aegis of the Spear Corps from 17-29 August 2026, the two-week intensive camp provided structured, multi-dimensional training to prepare promising young candidates from Tripura for entry into the Indian Armed Forces under the Agnipath Scheme.
Building upon the solid foundation laid in Phase I (held in May 2026), Phase II focused on a select cohort of 13 dedicated candidates, delivering targeted instruction aligned with their specific recruitment milestones.
Throughout the 14-day residential camp, candidates received holistic preparation designed to bridge the gap between initial potential and final selection. Aspirants underwent high-intensity endurance training, functional strength building, obstacle agility drills and core stability exercises, bringing their physical performance directly in line with military rally standards. Candidates also received daily structured classroom instruction covering Mathematics, General Science, and Logical Reasoning, sharpening their problem-solving skills and syllabus comprehension.
Immersed in a residential military environment, the aspirants developed vital soft skills including personal discipline, time management, leadership, teamwork and strong national pride. The successful completion of Phase II underlines the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to guiding and uplifting the youth of Tripura. By converting raw enthusiasm into structured competence, the initiative ensures that these 13 young men are fully equipped physically, academically and medically, to stand out in upcoming recruitment rallies and fulfill their dream of serving the Nation.
