The Office of the Controller of Communication Accounts (CCA), Andhra Pradesh Circle, Vijayawada, observed National Senior Citizens Day today with grand fervour and dedication at its office premises. Dedicated to honouring senior citizens and retired personnel, the office organized a comprehensive, day-long outreach and welfare program aimed at delivering seamless digital services and expressing profound gratitude for the lifelong contributions of pensioners.

Under the leadership of the CCA, AP Circle, the initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from super senior pensioners, retired personnel, and departmental staff alike. To facilitate hassle-free services, dedicated Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Camps utilizing biometric and Face-Authentication (Jeevan Pramaan) technology were conducted, enabling on-the-spot, seamless submission of Life Certificates. Additionally, dedicated Know Your Pensioner (KYP) Camps were established to facilitate the seamless and hassle-free submission of KYP forms.

A special ceremonial felicitation was held during the event, wherein the senior-most pensioners were formally honoured by the dignitaries with traditional shawls and mementos in sincere recognition of their decades of dedicated public service. To commemorate the occasion and symbolize enduring longevity and environmental stewardship, a Tree Plantation Drive was carried out within the office premises, with dignitaries and visiting elders planting saplings together. Adding an engaging and cheerful element to the day, an attractive Selfie Point themed around celebrating elders was set up, allowing senior citizens to capture memorable moments with colleagues and family members.

Speaking on the occasion, the senior officials emphasized that senior citizens are the pillars of institutional wisdom and reiterated the department’s steadfast commitment to ensuring transparent, prompt, and compassionate doorstep services for all elderly pensioners. The event concluded with the visiting pensioners expressing their heartfelt appreciation to the Office of the CCA, AP Circle, for organizing a respectful, celebratory, and impactful outreach program.
