MSME-DFO Dimapur in association with DIC Zunheboto Organize one-day PM Vishwakarma Awareness Workshop on Branding and Marketing

The MSME Development and Facilitation Office (MSME-DFO), Dimapur, under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, in association with the Department of Industries and Commerce and the District Industries Centre (DIC), Zunheboto, organized a one-day awareness workshop on Branding and Marketing at the Multipurpose Hall, Zunheboto on August 13, 2026, under the PM Vishwakarma scheme.
   

The workshop aimed to create awareness and build the capacity of PM Vishwakarma artisans to scale their businesses through in-depth technical sessions covering Product Packaging, Labelling and Design, Export Development, Artificial Intelligence, and Financial Literacy. Over 100 local artisans participated in the program.

Delivering the welcome address, Shri Er. N. Toky Chishi, General Manager, DIC Zunheboto, encouraged participants to actively utilize the opportunities available under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme for enterprise growth and market expansion, advising them to clarify their queries directly with attending officials.

Smt. Kumzutoli K. Hesso, Founder of KK Hesso Studio, led the technical session on Product Packaging, Labelling, and Design. She highlighted the significance of building a strong product identity and enhancing marketability through effective branding, sustainable packaging solutions, compliance with labeling requirements, QR-based traceability, and consumer-centric design approaches.

Additionally, the State Programme Management Unit (SPMU), PM Vishwakarma, conducted an interactive session on Artificial Intelligence. The module introduced participants to emerging digital tools and their potential applications in product promotion, digital marketing, and overall enterprise development.

In the session on Export Development, Shri Kezhaletuo Khruomo, Functional Manager, DIC Zunheboto, familiarized artisans with the fundamentals of export readiness and key requirements for accessing external markets. He elaborated on various government support schemes available to MSMEs and artisans, encouraging them to seek guidance and assistance through the District Industries Centre.

Shri Hovirie Kennao, Financial Analyst for the RAMP Scheme at DIC Zunheboto, delivered the session on Financial Literacy. He spoke on integrated business growth planning, financial management, and the importance of networking for enterprise sustainability and expansion. This was followed by a practical demonstration on QR code generation and e-commerce onboarding to facilitate digital market access.

Addressing credit access, Shri J. Soren, Lead District Manager, SBI Zunheboto, interacted with participants and answered queries pertaining to loan applications and credit facilities.

Subsequently, during the interactive Q&A segment, artisans engaged directly with officials from DIC, MSME-DFO, and SPMU to resolve queries regarding scheme benefits and implementation.

The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Shri Y Nikhilendra, IEDS, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO Dimapur, who reiterated the ministry's commitment to strengthening artisan enterprises through continuous capacity-building and market development initiatives.
