Several State-level Cooperative Federations are engaged in activities related to organic farming, procurement, processing, branding, marketing, and promotion of organic products in their respective States.

 

National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL) coordinates with State Cooperative Federations through various measures, including entering into Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), as appropriate, with State Cooperative Departments/Nodal Agencies for promoting certified organic farming, procurement and marketing. It also associates State Cooperative Federations, Cooperative Societies, Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and other cooperative institutions as members/partners to facilitate their participation in the organic value chain, including aggregation, procurement, processing, packaging and marketing of organic produce under the "Bharat Organics" brand. In addition, NCOL facilitates the formation of National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP)-certified Internal Control System (ICS) groups through cooperative institutions.
