Indian Institute of Management Raipur on Saturday inaugurated the 10th edition of its Human Resources Summit, bringing together about 35 Chief Human Resources Officers, senior human resources leaders, industry practitioners and thought leaders to deliberate on the changing nature of work and the future of organisations.
Being held on the theme “Future of Work: Designed by People, Driven by Innovation,” the two-day summit seeks to examine how organisations can navigate rapid technological transformation while keeping human judgement, creativity, empathy and responsible leadership at the centre of decision-making.

In his address at the inaugural session, Professor Sanjeev Prashar, Director-in-Charge, Indian Institute of Management Raipur, said the growing use of artificial intelligence, automation and changing workforce expectations was reshaping organisations and making it essential to keep people at the centre of transformation.
“Innovation can accelerate progress, but human creativity, judgement and empathy give that progress direction and meaning,” he said, adding that management education must focus on developing responsible and human-centred leaders while strengthening the interface between academia and industry.
Chief Guest Malvika Singh, Early Careers Recruiting, BNY, said that while artificial intelligence was increasingly influencing workplaces, qualities such as empathy, trust, integrity and sound judgement would remain important differentiators.
She said platforms such as the Human Resources Summit provide an opportunity for industry, academia and students to exchange perspectives and prepare for emerging challenges in the world of work.

The 10th edition of the summit marks a decade of IIM Raipur’s engagement with industry and academia on issues concerning human resources and organisational transformation.
