The Union Minister Shri Jual Oram today laid a statement on the table of the House. Statement referred to “Implementation of PM JANMAN and tribal development programmes in Odisha”

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs has been monitoring the implementation of the interventions under Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha AbhiyaN (PMJANMAN) across the implementing states including State of Odisha. The details of the benefits given under PM JANMAN in Odisha, as on 30.06.2026, Ministry-wise, District wise is at Annexure I. The details of progress in respect of other schemes of Ministry is given in Annexure II. The assessment of progress is undertaken through periodic reviews, field-level monitoring, and reports received from the concerned State Government and implementing agencies. The improvement made in availability of basic amenities and livelihood opportunities under the abhiyans/schemes has been contributing towards socio-economic development of PVTGs/tribals in the State of Odisha

Ministry of Tribal Affairs through the State Governments/UT Administration/departments has undertaken habitation level data collection exercise through PM Gati Shakti mobile application to estimate PVTG population figures and infrastructure gaps in order to cover PVTG population residing in villages & habitations covered under PM JANMAN. Based on the data captured, PVTG population in State of Odisha is tabulated below:

The actual number beneficiaries to be covered under the abhiyan is subjected to eligibility criteria of specific guidelines of concerned interventions as per norms approved.
