Shri Ramchandra Kisan Jayabhaye has assumed charge as the Chief Postmaster General (CPMG), Maharashtra Circle, with effect from 9 July 2026.

An officer of the Indian Postal Service (IPoS), 2000 batch, Shri Jayabhaye brings over 25 years of experience spanning postal administration, banking, operations and institutional management.

Shri Jayabhaye has held several key assignments and contributed to the modernization and expansion of postal services across the country. He played an important role in the implementation of Project Arrow, aimed at upgrading and modernizing post offices in Aurangabad and Nagpur. As Director of Freighter Operations, he also oversaw and streamlined cargo operations involving four dedicated mail aircraft.

In the Chhattisgarh Circle, Shri Jayabhaye contributed significantly to expanding the postal network in Left Wing Extremism (LWE) affected areas, facilitating the opening of 391 Branch Post Offices. He also spearheaded collaboration with the Regional Transport Office (RTO) for the doorstep delivery of official documents through the postal network.

Shri Jayabhaye, prior to assuming charge as Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, served as General Manager (Operations) at the Postal Life Insurance (PLI) Directorate, New Delhi, where he centrally steered the development of the core Insurance Management System (IMS) software to modernize the operations of Postal Life Insurance and Rural Postal Life Insurance.

With extensive experience in technology-driven modernization, financial inclusion and postal administration, Shri Jayabhaye's appointment is expected to further strengthen the delivery of postal and citizen-centric services across the Maharashtra Circle.
