In a significant step towards strengthening Bihar’s technology and innovation ecosystem, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) organised an interaction and discussion session with startups, IT/ITeS companies, MSMEs, entrepreneurs and industry representatives at STPI Patna on Friday.

 

The event served as a platform for stakeholders to deliberate on opportunities, challenges and policy interventions required to accelerate the growth of Bihar’s startup, innovation and technology-led entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The interaction with industry and startup’s was addressed by Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Electronics & IT, Railway and Information Broadcasting in the presence of Shri Samrat Choudhary, Chief Minister of Bihar, and Shri Nitish Mishra, Minister for Information Technology, Government of Bihar.

Encouraging Startups and Highlighting India’s Growth
Union Minister for Electronics & IT, Railways and Information & Broadcasting, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, had an insightful and interactive session with entrepreneurs and startup founders at STPI Patna earlier today. During the interaction, he shared valuable suggestions and solutions and encouraged participants to actively engage with emerging opportunities and contribute to India's growth story. Emphasising the rapidly evolving global landscape, the Minister said that the fast-changing world presents numerous opportunities. Highlighting India's startup success, he noted that the country today has more than 2 lakh startups and over 140 unicorns, attributing this remarkable achievement to the clear vision and roadmap provided by the Prime Minister to effectively channelise and harness the energy and potential of the nation's youth.

The Minister also highlighted the Rail Tech portal and explained how startups can benefit from leveraging it for growth and collaboration. He underlined that the suggestions and inputs received during the interaction would be duly noted and taken forward. Assuring entrepreneurs and innovators of the Central Government's continued support, he called upon the youth and entrepreneurs of Bihar to contribute actively towards expanding India's electronics manufacturing sector and advancing emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and semiconductors. Encouraging greater participation from the State, he reiterated the Centre's commitment to supporting Bihar's emergence as a significant hub for technology and innovation.

The programme was attended by Shri Arvind Kumar, Director General, STPI; Shri Pratyaya Amrit, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Bihar; Shri Sanjay Kumar, Director, STPI Patna; senior government officials, industry leaders, startup founders and representatives from the state's growing innovation ecosystem.

Emphasis on Innovation and Employment Generation
Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries highlighted the importance of technology-driven innovation, entrepreneurship and digital infrastructure in creating employment opportunities and positioning Bihar as an emerging destination for investments in the IT and IT-enabled services sector.

 

Startup Innovation Showcase at Patliputra Campus
A major highlight of the event was the showcase of innovative solutions developed by startups incubated at STPI Patna’s Patliputra Campus. Through dedicated product kiosks, the startups demonstrated how emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, FinTech and enterprise digital transformation solutions are being developed from Bihar for national and global markets.

The Union Minister and Chief Minister interacted with the founders and reviewed their products, business models and growth journeys.

The startups that showcased their innovations included:
* Fluxcap Software, founded by Shri Siddharth Chandra, which is building AI-driven financial technology solutions focused on digital investments, intelligent lending and credit score analytics through its ASTROCRED platform.

* Krim SSI Labs Pvt. Ltd., founded by Shri VishwanathJha, a sovereign-safe super intelligence laboratory developing AI systems for highly regulated industries. The company draws inspiration from the Navya-Nyāya tradition of logic that originated in Mithila and is building AI safety frameworks with operations in Bihar, Bengaluru and New York.

* KIBA Labs Pvt. Ltd., founded by Shri Niraj Kumar, which provides enterprise technology consulting, SAP solutions, staff augmentation services and AI-driven digital transformation support for businesses.

The interaction session witnessed active participation from startups, technology companies, innovators and MSMEs representing diverse sectors. Participants shared their experiences, growth aspirations and suggestions for strengthening Bihar’s startup ecosystem and attracting greater technology investments into the state.

Among the organisations represented during the interaction were Hiprotech India Technology Pvt. Ltd., Kamaladitya Global Pvt. Ltd., Floww API Pvt. Ltd., SarvaSuvidhaen Pvt. Ltd., NS Apps Innovations LLP, Flexi Smartcare Pvt. Ltd., Jilo Health Pvt. Ltd., Creditbucket Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Arunoday Optimized Nexus for Innovative Exploration Pvt. Ltd., Qtrino Labs Pvt. Ltd., KensuKyora Dynamics Pvt. Ltd. (Bharat AI), and NirogyFy, a student-led innovation initiative from DPS.

Many of the participating startups are beneficiaries of entrepreneurship and incubation programmes supported by the Department of Information Technology and the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, which provide mentoring, infrastructure and ecosystem support to emerging enterprises.

Speaking on the occasion, STPI officials reiterated the organisation’s commitment to nurturing innovation and strengthening Bihar’s position on India’s technology map through incubation support, world-class infrastructure, startup mentoring and industry facilitation services.

STPI Infrastructure in Bihar 
STPI currently operates centres in Patna, Darbhanga and Bhagalpur, offering incubation facilities, plug-and-play workspaces, statutory services under the STP and EHTP schemes, high-speed data communication infrastructure and a supportive ecosystem for startups and technology enterprises.
Since the establishment of STPI Patna in 2008, the organisation has played a significant role in promoting software exports and technology entrepreneurship in Bihar. The state’s software exports have steadily grown over the years, helping strengthen Bihar’s presence in India’s expanding digital economy.

STPI’s Impact on IT Exports 
STPI, an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, has been instrumental in promoting India’s IT/ITeS and electronics exports. From software exports of ₹52 crore in 1992–93, exports by STP units have grown to over ₹12 lakh crore in 2025–26, reflecting the transformative impact of India’s technology sector.

With 73 centres across the country 64 of them located in Tier-II and Tier-III cities—STPI continues to drive regional innovation, support startups, create employment opportunities and enable technology-led economic growth beyond metropolitan centres.

The event concluded with a shared commitment among government, industry and startup stakeholders to work collaboratively towards building a stronger, innovation-driven and globally competitive technology ecosystem for Bihar.
