107th Birth Anniversary of Marshal of the Indian Air Force Arjan Singh Celebrated at Gateway of India, Mumbai

The 107th birth anniversary of Marshal of the Indian Air Force Arjan Singh, Padma Vibhushan, Distinguished Flying Cross, was celebrated with great solemnity and grandeur at the iconic Gateway of India, Mumbai. Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Chief of the Air Staff, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The event was conducted with exemplary precision, patriotic fervour, and dignified grandeur drawing an esteemed gathering of distinguished dignitaries and an enthusiastic public audience.
The event featured an impressive flying display, including aero modelling demonstrations by NCC cadets, providing a dynamic and visually engaging experience. The evening was further elevated by a spectacular and impeccably synchronised performance by the Air Warrior Drill Team, reflecting exceptional precision and discipline.
Adding to the grandeur of the occasion, the Indian Air Force Band from Headquarters South Western Air Command presented a meticulously curated performance, offering a harmonious blend of symphonic brilliance and orchestral excellence that captivated the audience.

The event also showcased digital displays and informative exhibits highlighting the remarkable life, achievements, and legacy of Marshal of the Indian Air Force Arjan Singh, offering attendees deeper insight into his exemplary service and enduring contributions to the nation.
The programme witnessed the presence of a wide spectrum of distinguished guests, including Air Force veterans, serving personnel of the Indian Armed Forces, civil dignitaries, NCC cadets, school students, and members of the general public. Senior officers in attendance included Air Marshal Tejinder Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Air Command; Vice Admiral Rahul Vilas Gokhale, Chief of Staff, Western Naval Command; Additional Director General MV Pathak, Coast Guard Commander (Western Seaboard); Air Vice Marshal GS Bhullar, Senior Officer-in-Charge Administration, Headquarters South Western Air Command; and Major General Satinder Singh, General Manager, Canteen Stores Department. Their presence added immense significance and prestige to the occasion.

The successful conduct of the event was made possible through the active cooperation and support of the State Government and the Police authorities. The large public participation reflected the deep and enduring connection between the Indian Air Force and the citizens of the nation.
The commemorative programme stood as a befitting tribute to the unparalleled contributions and legacy of Marshal of the Indian Air Force Arjan Singh, inspiring present and future generations to uphold the highest standards of service, valour, and unwavering commitment to the nation.
