IIT Gandhinagar-incubated startup AB6 Robotics partners with iACE to scale robotics skilling

Posted On: 02 APR 2026 3:25PM by PIB Ahmedabad

AB6 Robotics, an IIT Gandhinagar-incubated startup, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Automobile Centre of Excellence (iACE), Gandhinagar, recently to scale high-quality robotics and physical AI training across Gujarat and India.

The collaboration comes at a time when industries are rapidly adopting robotics, automation, and AI-driven systems, leading to a growing demand for skilled talent in hands-on, hardware-oriented domains. However, access to structured and industry-relevant robotics training remains limited for many students and professionals. The partnership aims to address this gap by making advanced robotics learning more accessible, experiential, and aligned with real-world applications.

AB6 Robotics develops AI-driven, hands-on learning platforms for robotics and related fields. Built on challenge-based pedagogy and real hardware interaction, its programmes focus on building practical skills, strengthening conceptual understanding, and enhancing industry readiness. With deployments across multiple institutions and a growing learner base, the startup is working towards redefining hands-on technical education in the AI era.

iACE, a joint venture between the Government of Gujarat and Maruti Suzuki India Limited with equal equity participation, has been at the forefront of skill development in emerging technology domains. With strong industry linkages, world-class infrastructure, and a focus on future mobility and advanced manufacturing, iACE provides a robust platform for scaling impactful skilling initiatives.

Through this partnership, AB6 Robotics and iACE will jointly offer robotics training programmes and experiential learning pathways for college students across Gujarat, as well as for industry professionals seeking to upskill in robotics and automation. The collaboration will leverage iACE’s infrastructure and outreach capabilities along with AB6 Robotics’ technology platform and products.

The initiative is expected to expand access to high-quality robotics education, nurture skilled talent, and contribute to building a future-ready workforce aligned with India’s ambitions in manufacturing, automation, and deep-tech innovation.

Prof Amit Prashant, Dean, External Relations, IITGN, said “A big area of need in engineering education today is deeply experiential, hands-on learning that is closely aligned with emerging industry needs. We are happy to see innovations emerging from our ecosystem scale to broader impact.”

Prof Harish P M, Co-founder of AB6 Robotics, said “At AB6 Robotics, we are focused on enabling real, hands-on mastery in robotics. Partnering with iACE allows us to take this approach to a much larger audience and build a strong pipeline of skilled talent.”
