The Central Bureau of Communication, Field Office Chandel, Ministry of I&B, Government of India organized a Special Outreach Programme (SOPs) on the theme “Viksit Bharat@2047” at Purum Pantha community hall in Purum Pantha Village in Chandel District on Saturday in coordination with Achiba Threatre Association, Sagolband & Meetei Indiginous Thang-Ta and Cultural Institute, Kongba Kshetri Leikai, Imphal East, PRTs of S&DD.

Jeevan Sankhil, Chairman, Purum Pantha Village, Chandel District, Samson Sankhil, Booth Level Officer, Chandel District, Moirangthem Rustum Singh, IIS, AD, CBC, FO, Chandel and Lv. Paul Thamsen General Secretary, Lamkang Naga Kver Kunpun (LNKK) were Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, Functional President and Resource Person respectively.

During his welcome address, Mathew Sk Bengam, FPA, CBC, FO, Chandel highlighted the objectives, initiatives and purpose of such SOPs on theme “Viksit Bharat@2047” which is a National Mission of our country, India’s ambitious vision to transform the nation into a fully developed, self – reliant and prosperous country by the 100th anniversary of its independence in 2047.

Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest Jeevan Sankhil thanked the organizers for organizing such awareness programme on various Central sponsored schemes in the area which aim at an overall economic development of the rural people. He urged the participants to avail various plan and policies provided to them. Samson Sankhil, BLO, Chandel stressed that the govt. has successfully and hugely transformed lives in promoting education, health, housing, enterprenuership, empowering youth and women these initiatives have brought the nation’s overall progress.

Meawnile, M. Rustum Singh, IIS who attended as Functional President spoke on the goal, objectives and criteria of the SOPs which is the govt initiative for economic growth, technological upgradation, infrastructure development, social empowerment and sustainability. He stressed on the importance of Nari Shakti and women led development. He urged the participating audience to take benefits provided by the Government of India for overall development.

Resource person Lv. Paul Thamsen spoke in details on Viksit Bharat@2047 which is the government vision to drive the mission of making India a completely developed transform country into self-reliant and prosperous economy by 2047 based on four key pillars Yuva (Youth), Garib (Poor), Mahilayen (Women), and Annadata (Farmers). He also spoke on Zero poverty, farmers welfare, women empowerment, education, health care, national security, safety & welfare, legal reforms and banking products.

Various cultural performances and skits were displayed and presented based on the theme Viksit Bharat @2047 by Achiba Threatre Association, Sagolband & Meetei Indiginous Thang-Ta and Cultural Institute, Kongba Kshetri Leikai, Imphal East, PRTs of S&DD, CBC, Regional Office, Imphal Region, Manipur.

A quiz competition was also held as part of the event and prizes were distributed to the winners. The programme concluded with the words of thanks by CBC, FO, Chandel urging the public to visit the special web page created for registration and submission of their suggestion and ideas to realise the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
