Central Transfers to Goa have increased substantially
- Tax devolution:
- Rs 5,570 crore has been budgeted as tax devolution for FY 2026-27 (BE)
- Grants-in-aid:
- Rs 1,364 crore has been budgeted for Goa for 2025-26 (BE).

Special Assistance to States for Capital Expenditure
- Under the Scheme, special assistance is provided to the State Governments in the form of 50-year interest-free loans, whose interest costs are borne entirely by the Centre.
- This is beyond the Finance Commission's recommendations.
- Releases under Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment to Goa

Infrastructure Efforts for Goa
Roadways:
- Over 299 km of National Highways constructed in Goa as on 30.06.2025
- Development of 26 km of National Highway corridors with tentative total capital cost of Rs 64 crore constructed in Goa under Phase I of Bharatmala Pariyojana.
- July 2024: 6-Lane access-controlled 7 km road project from Manohar International Airport to Dhargal on NH-166S in Goa costing Rs.1183 crore inaugurated

Airways:
- 3 new air routes operationalized under RCS UDAN
- Greenfield International Airport at Mopa, Goa inaugurated by PM Modi in December 2022 (developed at a cost of around Rs 2,870 crore).
- Goa airport covered under Krishi Udan Scheme (to assist farmers in transporting agricultural products).
Tourism:
- 28th November 2025:
- Prime Minister unveiled a 77 feet statue of Prabhu Shri Ram, made up of bronze at Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math
- Prime Minister inaugurated ‘Ramayana Theme Park Garden’ developed by the Math.
- Prime Minister released the special postal stamp and a commemorative coin, and address the gathering on the occasion.
- Over Rs 197 crore sanctioned under Swadesh Darshan Scheme for development of coastal theme-based circuits in Goa.
- 6 February 2024 (Goa):
- Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for a Passenger Ropeway project, along with associated tourism development activities, boosting tourism connectivity and visitor experience.
- Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for a 100 MLD Water Treatment Plant, strengthening urban water supply and public utility infrastructure.
- Panaji selected under the Smart Cities Mission.
Sports, Skill & Maritime Training Infrastructure
- 6 February 2024 (Goa):
- Prime Minister inaugurated the new campus of the National Institute of Water Sports, strengthening sports training and water-based tourism skills.
- The Prime Minister inaugurated the Integrated Sea Survival Training Centre at the ONGC Institute, enhancing offshore safety and maritime skill development.
Education & Technical Institutions
- 6 February 2024 (Goa): Under the Viksit Bharat, Viksit Goa 2047 programme, the Prime Minister inaugurated the permanent campus of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Goa.
- The foundation stone had been laid in December 2018, marking the completion of a long-pending higher technical education project.
Digital Connectivity & Telecommunications
- 29 September 2025 (Morpila, Quepem Taluka, South Goa): Prime Minister inaugurated a 4G mobile tower, strengthening telecommunications connectivity, improving digital access, and supporting last-mile inclusion in the region

- Atal Pension Yojana – Total subscribers: 1.18 lakh+
- PM SVANidhi – Applications disbursed: 3.04 thousand+
- KCC Cards Issued: 25.7 thousand+
- Jal Jeevan Mission: 2.63 lakh+ rural households provided tap water connections
- PM Ujjwala Yojana: 1.95 thousand+ LPG connections released
- Jan Aushadhi: Over 18 Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been operationalized
- Ayushman Cards: 1 lakh+ Ayushman cards created
- PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana: 5 lakh+ beneficiaries
- PM KISAN: 6.29 thousand+ farmers supported
