The session, themed “Cultural Rootedness and Civilizational Continuity: Kashi–Tamil Connection,” featured discussions on shared traditions, literary exchanges and philosophical ideas that have historically connected the two regions. The speakers highlighted the influence of Sangam literature, Bhakti poetry and the contributions of Mahakavi Subramania Bharati.

Participants highlighted the role of communication and learning various languages in strengthening national unity. They also shared perspectives on how initiatives like KTS are enabling renewed engagement with cultural heritage.

Earlier in the day, the delegation visited the Mahamana Archives and Bharat Kala Bhavan, where they viewed key exhibits, including a Chola-period bronze Nataraja sculpture, and gained insights into shared artistic and historical traditions. The session concluded with Tamil writers presenting a set of books to Banaras Hindu University, reinforcing academic collaboration and promoting continued cultural exchange.
