A National Lok Adalat was organized by the District Legal Services Authority in coordination with the Debts Recovery Tribunals, Chennai, on 13.12.2025 (Saturday) at Shastri Bhavan, Nungambakkam.

  

For the effective conduct of the Lok Adalat, three benches were constituted, each headed by retired District Judges, along with Advocate members. A total of 320 cases were referred before the Lok Adalat benches for amicable settlement.

  

After detailed deliberations, discussions, and negotiations held between the banks and Borrowers, 12 cases were successfully settled, amounting to a total settlement value of Rs. 3.28Crores.

The National Lok Adalat provided an effective platform for amicable, and cost-effective resolution of disputes, ensuring substantial relief to litigants and contributing to the reduction of pending cases.
