United Nations Ambassador Dr. Evans Afedi, attended the grand closing ceremony of the Sardar @150 Unity March and paid heartfelt tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Dr. Afedi expressed his profound respect for the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel; the architect who united more than 562 princely states and gifted India an enduring identity of national unity. While offering his tribute, he remarked that the youth gathered at the event; resonating with slogans of unity, vibrant cultural expressions and unwavering patriotism; are truly realising the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”

He further stated that the Unity March, organized by the Ministry of Sports, Government of India, is not merely a commemorative procession dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, but a remarkable pilgrimage that lights the flame of patriotism in the hearts of the youth. According to him, the enthusiasm and discipline demonstrated by young participants strengthen India’s future, while this campaign instills timeless values of unity, dedication and nationalism in the new generation.
