Guided by the consistent focus of the Hon’ble Union Minister of Railways on station modernization and citizen centric services, Barpali Railway Station now emerges as a key infrastructural asset for western Odisha.

•    A 12 meter wide Foot Over Bridge (FOB)
•    Newly designed ramps with double handrails to support Divyangjan and senior citizens

To cater to current and future passenger requirements, the following improvements have been completed:
•    25 Platform Shelter Bays (up from 8)
•    Platform surfacing across 1200 sqm
•    A redesigned 2000 sqm circulating area with landscaped features
•    Enhanced green zones for a pleasant station environment
•    Installation of Coach Indication Boards and Train Indication Boards
•    Modern CCTV surveillance system for enhanced safety
•    New furniture and upgraded public utility spaces

The redesigned station embraces the cultural identity of Odisha through:
•    Landscaped green zones with decorative elements representing western Odisha’s natural and artistic heritage
