The School of Integrated Coastal and Maritime Security Studies (SICMSS) of Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) is proud to announce its flagship program, SAMUNDRARAKSHAN 2.0, scheduled for December 4, 2025, coinciding with Indian Navy Day. The conclave is a unique platform to strengthen India’s coastal security by sharing knowledge and the best practices evolved, under the wider vision from SAGAR to MAHASAGAR (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions). The event will take place at the Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) campus located in Lavad-Dahegam, Gandhinagar. This year's SAMUNDRARAKSHAN 2.0 will feature the highly anticipated unveiling of India's state-of-the-art Maritime Simulator Lab, a dedicated facility for providing hands-on training for maritime interdiction, hot pursuits, law enforcement, search and rescue, navigation, maritime security, marine pollution, and various scenarios to the Indian Maritime Forces, Law of the Sea professionals, and maritime experts, including maritime law enforcement agencies from like-minded countries. The unveiling of this facility marks a significant milestone in India's efforts to bolster its maritime defense and security infrastructure.

The event is expected to draw over 200+ personnel (Senior – mid – junior level officers) from the Indian Navy (IN), Indian Coast Guard (ICG), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Border Security Force (BSF), Marine Police of all 13 coastal states/union territories, maritime boards, port authorities, and other maritime leading companies and technology innovation start-ups, and prominent maritime experts and professionals. This maritime initiative underscores RRU's commitment towards advancing Law of the Sea, maritime law, maritime security and maritime professional training in India.

This second edition of the ‘SAMUNDRARAKSHAN’ - National Coastal Security Conclave (NCSC) will delve into critical topics vital for enhancing India's coastal security. Key areas of focus includes the:

1. Integration of advanced technologies in India's maritime border security surveillance and protection,
2. Climate change and rising sea levels: Implications for coastal security,
3. Counter operations against drug trafficking through Indian ports and coastline,
4. Sharing of best practices among maritime forces: Maritime exercises and cooperation.

These discussions aim to foster collaboration and innovation in safeguarding India's extensive maritime interests.
