The Offices of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department (IA&AD) in Bengaluru to celebrate the Audit Diwas 2025 on 21 November 2025 at Bengaluru. The inaugural ceremony will be graced by Dr. Shalini Rajneesh, IAS, Chief Secretary to the Government of Karnataka as the Chief Guest.
Hon’ble Vice President Shri. C. P. Radhakrishnan inaugurated the Audit Diwas 2025 16th November 2025 at New Delhi. Audit Diwas, being observed every year on 16 November, since 2021, marks the historic day when the institution of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India came into existence.
This year’s Audit Diwas adopts the theme, “Leading Change & Reaffirming Values: Trust, Innovation, Sustainability & Accountability”. The main objectives of the celebration are public outreach and stakeholder engagement to create awareness. This also rededicates the Department’s commitment to integrity, professionalism, independence and service to the nation.
The Audit Diwas 2025 celebrations in Karnataka is being held from 17 to 27 November 2025 by the Indian Audit and Accounts offices, Bengaluru with multi-faceted events designed to encourage stakeholder engagement with auditees and public, foster camaraderie and showcase the diverse talents of the staff and their families. The events include:
• Outreach programmes for enhancing public awareness about the institution of C&AG wherein officers of the IA&AD will visit colleges across various districts to introduce students to the vital role played by the Institution in ensuring transparency and accountability in public finance.
• Panel Discussions with eminent personalities on themes relating to emerging trends in governance such as urban mobility, mental health issues such as work-life balance, etc.
• Quiz Competitions designed to enhance awareness of audit, governance and current affairs.
• Engagement with Pensioners for grievance redressal.
• Audit walkathon and sports events to promote physical well-being, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Cultural Programmes featuring performances by staff and their wards, celebrating the artistic diversity of the audit fraternity.
• Creative Competitions, including drawing, writing, elocution, photography aimed at encouraging talent and creativity.
These events reflect the Department’s commitment to fostering a positive and cohesive organisational culture by providing platforms for expression, learning and collaboration. The valedictory function, including prize distribution for the winners of the various competitions, will be held on 27 November at Bengaluru.
