The  meeting of the District Level Telecom Committee (DLTC) of Patan district was convened today at the Patan Collectorate under the chairmanship of Shri Tushar Kumar Y. Bhatt, IAS, Collector, Patan . The meeting was attended by Shri Shivcharan Meena, Assistant Director (Rural), Department of Telecommunications (DoT); Shri Kamal Panwar, Consultant, DoT; and representatives from various concerned departments.

The Committee reviewed the telecom scenario in Patan district with a detailed discussion on rural mobile coverage, Right of Way (RoW) challenges, progress under BharatNet project, the Samriddh Gram Panchayat pilot initiative, implementation of the 4G saturation project etc. Shri Kamal Panwar, Consultant, DoT Demonstrated  the use of “Call Before U Dig” (CBuD) mobile application, aimed at preventing accidental damage to telecom and utility infrastructure during digging and construction activities in the district.

Shri Shivcharan Meena, Assistant Director (Rural) addressed misconceptions surrounding electromagnetic radiation (EMR), and participants were apprised of scientific facts and safeguards in place. Officials were further sensitized about the Sanchar Saathi portal and its features designed to enhance public awareness and protect telecom consumers.

During the meeting, the Collector directed all concerned departments to take prompt action to resolve telecom-related issues across the district. He stressed the importance of seamless digital connectivity for service delivery, rural development, and citizen welfare.
