The Ahmedabad International Book Festival held from 13 to 23 November 2025, has become a remarkable confluence of knowledge, literature, and culture. While book lovers are gaining new insights through a wide range of books, India Post’s stall is introducing visitors to nation’s rich diversity of art, culture, history, education, and heritage through postage stamps. In this book festival, organized jointly by the National Book Trust under the Ministry of Education of the Government of India and the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, India Post’s stall number 95 has become a center of attraction, drawing a continuous flow of visitors. While visiting the Ahmedabad International Book Festival, Postmaster General, North Gujarat Region, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav told that the India Post stall is offering a wide range of services, including Parcel, Speed Post, Gyan Post, Parcel Packaging Service, Philately, My Stamp, Ganga Jal, and digital banking facilities through India Post Payments Bank. Book lovers and publishers can send books anywhere across the country and abroad through the India Post’s stall. Additionally, Post Office Savings Services and Postal Life Insurance facilities are also available.

Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that the Book Festival not only fosters interest in reading but also brings together readers, writers, and publishers of all age groups on a common platform, thereby giving new direction to literary dialogue and collaboration. At the same time, this Stall is offering a unique opportunity for philately enthusiasts and collectors, where they can not only explore new material but also gain insight into India’s diverse cultural traditions and historical heritage through stamps. Book and stamps play a significant role in connecting people with literature, art, and culture. The ‘My Stamp’ series based on Gujarat is receiving an enthusiastic response from visitors, featuring theme such as Mahatma Gandhi at Sabarmati Ashram, the Kite Festival, and the traditional Dandiya dance. For children and youth, this experience is proving to be highly informative and inspiring, as postage stamps present the nation’s history, culture, and major events in an engaging, insightful, and educational manner. The stall is further enriching and enlivening the cultural atmosphere of the Book Festival.

Superintendent of Post Offices, Ahmedabad Division, Shri Shishir Kumar said that visitors are enjoying the experience of sending their favourite books to their loved ones directly from the Book Festival. A wide range of philatelic products is on display here, including various types of postage stamps, special covers, Ramayana stamps, a scented stamp set based on the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, khadi postcards, Saurashtra–Kutch themed picture postcards, Olympic-themed stamps, alphabetical philately books, coffee mugs, T-shirts, and many other philatelic. He added that a My Stamp sheet containing 12 personalised stamps is prepared for just ₹300, making it a unique and memorable gift for occasions such as birthdays, wedding anniversaries, weddings, retirements, or other special moments. After exploring the Book Festival, children also have the facility to post letters narrating their experiences through the letterbox placed here.
