JIPMER has further enhanced the functioning of the Common Sample Collection Centre located at the General OPD Block and the Blood Centre for the benefit of patients. The Centres will now operate from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays (Monday to Friday) and from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

The extended schedule will help accommodate a larger number of patients, minimize waiting time, facilitate timely investigations, and enable faster consultations. This initiative aims to ensure smooth patient flow, optimize diagnostic services, and enhance overall patient satisfaction.

With the revised timing starting at 6:30 a.m., patients can now complete their fasting sample collection much earlier, ensuring greater comfort and convenience—especially for elderly individuals, women, and those with health conditions that make prolonged fasting difficult.

This effort is part of JIPMER’s ongoing commitment to providing patient-friendly, efficient, and high-quality healthcare services to the public.
