The Food Corporation of India (FCI), Zonal Office (East), successfully organized a series of activities under Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, observed from October 27 to November 2, 2025, with the theme of “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”

The vigilance awareness week commenced on October 27 with the administration of the Integrity Pledge at the Conference Room of the Zonal Office (East). A Walkathon was also organized to spread awareness among citizens about the importance of vigilance and integrity in everyday life. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and served as an effective platform to inspire public commitment towards a corruption-free society.

As part of the outreach initiatives, a poster-making competition with the same theme was conducted at Jewish Girls’ School, where over 40 students participated. The competition encouraged young students to explore the values of fairness, vigilance, and accountability. The event was a grand success, fostering a strong sense of responsibility and ethical awareness among the youth and teachers.

Within the organization, several engaging activities were also conducted to enhance internal awareness. These included a drawing competition among the wards of employees, an essay competition, and a quiz competition for FCI employees. These events inspired participants to adopt ethical practices and deepened their understanding of vigilance-related principles in professional life.

The closing ceremony of the campaign was held at the Zonal Office (East), under the chairmanship of Executive Director (East) Shri M. K. Gogoi on 6th November 2025. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions, and employees were commended for their active participation and commitment to upholding vigilance and integrity in their daily work.

Through these   initiatives, the Food Corporation of India, Zonal Office (East), reaffirmed its dedication to nurturing a culture of transparency, accountability, and integrity. The campaign not only reinforced ethical values within the organization but also inspired employees and citizens alike to actively contribute towards building a society rooted in integrity and transparency.
