Department of Posts will observe ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ from October 27 to November 2, 2025 in North Gujarat Region. Inaugurating the week at the Regional Office, Ahmedabad Postmaster General, North Gujarat Region, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav, administered the Integrity Pledge to Postal officers and employees, inspiring them to perform their duties with honesty and integrity.

Emphasizing the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility,” Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav urged all officers and employees to promote ethical work practices in every sphere, remain committed to honesty, integrity, and transparency, work relentlessly for the eradication of corruption, become well-versed with work-related rules and regulations, stay conscious of the development and reputation of their organization, and also safeguard the rights and interests of all stakeholders and society at large.

Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav told that ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ is observed every year during the week of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Birth anniversary (October 31). Its main objective is to spread awareness against corruption and to promote integrity, transparency, and accountability in public life. It encourages citizens to participate in the fight against corruption and raises awareness about the need for ethics in governance and public administration.
Assistant Director Shri Varis M. Vahora told that during the Vigilance Awareness Week, various programs will be organized, including workshops on anti-corruption measures for officials, quiz and debate competitions for staff, special camps for redressal of public grievances, and awareness programs in village assemblies at the tehsil level on the ill effects of corruption.
On this occasion, Assistant Director Shri Varis M. Vahora, Shri M. M. Shaikh, Senior Accounts Officer Smt. Pooja Rathore, Assistant Accounts Officer Shri Chetan Sain, Shri Ram Swaroop Mangawa, Assistant Superintendent Shri Jinesh Patel, Shri Ramesh Patel, Shri Ronak Shah alongwith other officials were present.
