State Minister Smt. Nimuben Bambhaniya distributed appointment letters to 155 youths in the ‘Rozgar Mela’ held in Ahmedabad

Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, over 51,000 appointment letters were distributed to newly recruited candidates in various Government Departments across 40 locations nationwide, including Ahmedabad, during the Rozgar Mela held on 24th October 2025. On this occasion, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi conveyed his best wishes to the newly appointed candidates for a bright and successful future through a special video message. In this chain, under the auspices of the Department of Posts, Rozgar Mela was organized at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Memorial, Ahmedabad. As the Chief Guest, Smt. Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya, State Minister (Government of India), Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp along with Mayor Smt. Pratibhaben Jain, MLA Shri Kaushikbhai Jain, and Postmaster General of North Gujarat Region, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav.

In Ahmedabad, newly recruited candidates from the Department of Posts, Railways, Income Tax, Financial Services, CISF, CRPF, Airports Authority of India, and other departments participated in the Rozgar Mela. Smt. Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya, State Minister (Government of India), handed over appointment letters to the newly recruited candidates and wished them a bright future. During the ceremony, a total of 155 newly recruited candidates, including 29 women, were given appointment letters. The newly recruited candidates expressed their gratitude to the Prime Minister and shared their happiness, saying that this opportunity marks a golden chapter in their lives and will inspire them to contribute to nation-building.

As the Chief Guest, State Minister Smt. Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya said in her address that today’s Rozgar Mela held across the country has brought new light into the lives of youth and presented them with a precious Diwali gift. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, this Rozgar Mela, continuously organized since October 2022, is presenting a new picture of a changing India — an India full of opportunities. Strengthening the confidence of the country’s youth is our firm resolve. State Minister Smt. Nimuben Bambhaniya said that initiatives like ‘Make in India’ and ‘Startup India’ have brought revolutionary changes in the direction of employment generation in the country. In addition to government services, currently over 1.6 lakh startups are providing employment opportunities to more than 17.6 lakh youth. ITI institutions are being upgraded through the PM-Setu initiative. All newly recruited candidates are expected to perform their duties with full honesty and the spirit of ‘Citizen First’, delivering better services to every citizen.

Postmaster General, North Gujarat Region, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said in his address that the appointment letter received on the occasion of this Rozgar Mela is not only a paper or document but also a golden opportunity to take a pledge to serve the country throughout life. People have many hopes from the youth as the future of the country.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, through video message appealed to the new appointees to not forget the mantra of ‘Nagarik Devo Bhava’ and work by upholding the spirit of service and dedication. Further said that the nation has been advancing with a resolve to build a developed India, with the youth playing the most pivotal role in this journey. Prime Minister also emphasized that empowering the youth is the highest priority of his government. He mentioned that Rozgar Mela has become a powerful means to fulfill the aspirations of the youth, and recently, over 11 lakh appointment letters have been distributed through these Rozgar Melas. The government has launched the ‘PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana’ with a target to provide employment to 3.5 crore youth. He further remarked that initiatives like the Skill India Mission are equipping youth with necessary training, while platforms such as the National Career Service are connecting them with new opportunities. Through this platform, information on more than 7 crore vacancies has already been shared with the youth.
The Prime Minister said that the efforts of candidates who reached the final UPSC list but were not selected will not go in vain. Through the Pratibha Setu Portal, private and public institutions are now engaging with these talented individuals through the portal. The Prime Minister also emphasized the utility of the iGOT Karmayogi Bharat platform, through which around 1.5 crore government employees are already learning through it. He encouraged the new appointees to join the platform, which would instill a new work culture and a spirit of good governance. Prime Minister Shri Modi further stated that the GST Bachat Utsav is contributing to employment generation even during this festive season.
