A special awareness camp was successfully convened at the Tamluk District Magistrate Office Conference Hall, Purba Medinipur District, as part of the Nationwide Campaign on Unclaimed Financial Assets, titled "Your Money, Your Right" on 16.10.2025.

The event brought together senior representatives from key financial regulatory bodies and institutions. This inter-agency collaboration was instrumental in significantly raising public awareness and directly assisting numerous citizens in the critical process of initiating claims for their rightful, unclaimed assets.

In this camp the higher officials present were Shri Balbir Singh, GM & Convenor of SLBC, West Bengal, Shri Dhruba Ghosh, Sr Manager, SLBC, West Bengal, Shri Vivek Bharati, LDO, RBI, Shri Pinku Das, DDM, NABARD, Shri Sudip Maity, DRDC, Shri Manabendra Tiwary, Dy Circle Head, Purba Medinipur Circle Punjab National Bank, Shri Rakesh Kumar Mishra, LDM, Purba Medinipur District, Shri Santanu Dutta Mantram, AO, LIC of India, Shri Tarak Nath Bhaumik, TGCC, BLTD and other Officials from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), Cholemandalam MS General Insurance Co Ltd, Lead Insurer of West Bengal, Life Insurance Corporation (LIC). 

In his address, Shri Balbir Singh, GM & Convenor of SLBC, West Bengal, emphasized the campaign's vital role in strengthening financial inclusion, transparency, and trust within the financial system. Through interactive sessions, the team clarified common misconceptions about asset forfeiture and outlined specific, practical procedures.

The campaign has significantly surpassed expectations, demonstrating the high demand for such services in the district. In the camp the no. of total beneficiaries is 225 while restitution of claim amount is ₹67 Lakh. Certificates confirming the claim restitution were issued to their rightful owner on site. 

The campaign has received widespread commendation for delivering both immense awareness and immediate, practical solutions that directly enhance the financial security of many families within Purba Medinipur.
