As part of the ongoing nationwide Implementation Phase of Special Campaign 5.0 for institutionalizing Swachhata and minimizing pendency in government office, launched by the Government of India, the staff and officials of the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Aizawl, today continued the cleanliness drive in the office with a special focus on reviewing old file.

During the drive, 80 files were identified for review, of which 66 were weeded out and disposed of. The office also continued the disposal of scarp and obsolete materials as part of its ongoing efforts to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

The initiative is part of the Special Campaign 5.0, Implementation Phase being observed from 2nd to 30th October 2025. The campaign aims to institutionalize cleanliness, expedite the disposal of pending files and records, and promote systematic cleaning and effective e-waste management.
