Department of Posts is continuously expanding its services, integrating new technologies and innovations, reaching last miles of society. Placing customer service as its priority, the department has moved beyond traditional postal services to provide a wide range of financial, logistics, and digital services with high quality and efficiency. Even in this era of mobile, email, and social media, letters retain their significance. Important documents including Government and Court-related letters, Aadhaar cards, passports, driving licenses, voter ID cards, PAN cards, bank cheque books and ATM cards are still being sent through Post offices. These views were expressed by Postmaster General, North Gujarat Region, Ahmedabad, Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav, while addressing the ‘Customer Meet’ organized on Customer Day, 10th October, on the concluding day of National Postal Week at the Regional Office, Ahmedabad. On this occasion, detailed information about postal services was shared, and extensive interaction was held with various exporters. This initiative marks a significant step toward empowering local businesses and industries to expand their reach into global markets. On this occasion, Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav also felicitated the valuable customers -Transport Office, Gandhinagar, Revenue Department, and Life Insurance Corporation of India who have been consistently providing significant business to the India Post over the years.

Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that the main objective of the Customer Meet was to acquaint bulk customers with the newly launched initiatives in Speed Post and parcel services, enabling ODOP, GI, MSME exporters, and e-commerce businesses to access services tailored to their needs. India Post operates a wide range of comprehensive and multi-faceted services to meet the diverse needs of various business segments. These services include Speed Post, Parcel Services, Dakghar Niryat Kendras, e-Post, Gyan Post, Business Post, Direct Post, Media Post, Retail Post, Logistics Post, e-Payment, Aadhaar Services, and Passport Services. Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that 57 Dakghar Niryat Kendras have been established across Gujarat to promote commercial exports and provide exporters with a centralized, simplified, and efficient solution. Products from One District One Product (ODOP), Geographical Indications (GI), and MSMEs are reaching international markets through Dakghar Niryat Kendras, strengthening the concepts of "Vocal for Local" and "Atmanirbhar Bharat."

Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that modern services such as Pickup and Induction, Parcel Packaging Units, and QR code-based digital payments are also available at post offices. For quick transmission of international mail, Foreign Post Office in Shahibaug, Ahmedabad and International Business Centre in Surat has been established. On-the-spot customs clearance is provided for international parcel bookings, making the process faster and more convenient. International parcel services are now available to nearly 200 countries and regions worldwide.
The program was anchored by Shri Chirayu Vyas, with the welcome speech by Senior Superintendent Shri Piyush Rajak and the vote of thanks by Senior Superintendent Shri Chirag Mehta. Detailed information about postal services was provided through a PowerPoint presentation by Marketing Executive Shri Dipal Mehta.
On this occasion, the event was attended by Senior Superintendent, Railway Mail Service, Ahmedabad Shri Piyush Rajak, Senior Superintendent, Ahmedabad Shri Chirag Mehta, Senior Postmaster, Ahmedabad GPO Shri Alpesh R. Shah, IPPB Assistant General Manager Shri Ranveer Singh, Chief Manager Shri Abhijeet Jibhkate, Assistant Directors Shri V.M. Vahora, Shri M.M. Shaikh, and Shri Ritul Gandhi; Assistant Superintendent Ms. Preyal Shah; Shri Jinesh Patel, Shri Ramesh Patel, Shri Ronak Shah, Shri Bhavin Prajapati; Postal Inspectors Yatharth Dubey and Yogendra Rathod; Marketing Executive Shri Dipal Mehta; Shri Chirayu Vyas, along with other officials and representatives from various corporate institutions and government departments.
