A global training center to be opened in Peenya, Bengaluru soon

Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, inaugurated the MSME Marketing Summit organized by NSIC and KASSIA in Bengaluru today.

Addressing the event, the Minister stated that the MSME sector is contributing 40% to the country's total production volume and exports. MSMEs have been addressing the needs of all sectors, including agriculture, food, defence, space, and artificial intelligence.vThe role of industries in the country's development is significant, especially, MSMEs are making substantial contribution to the nation's growth. In order to strengthen the sector, the government led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi started the Skill Training Division for the first time. It has been undertaking training programmes and schemes for women and youth to match the global skill standards.

The minister emphasised that a resolve to build a Viksit Bharat by 2047 has been made, and the contribution of the MSME sector is immense. She also stated that everyone must cultivate the ‘Swadeshi’ mindset and make their own individual contributions in making the country Atmanirbhar (self-reliant). The minister further said that priority has been given to providing market facilities for MSME products. Local markets are being promoted, and access to GeM (Government e-Marketplace) as well as global markets is being provided. This has enabled ease of doing business. The Minister also said that every item produced in the country should possess export quality. This will ensure good demand in the market.

By producing more organic food products, it is possible to build a healthier society, the minister stressed. She also announced that a world-class training centre will be started in Bengaluru's Peenya Industrial Area. Many banks and industrial organizations that are encouraging Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises were applauded at the event.  On this occasion, entrepreneurs who are making excellent strides the MSME sector were felicitated.

Shri Ninganna Biradar, Vice President, KASSIA, Shri Atish Kumar Singh, Joint Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Dr. Subhranshu Sekhar Acharya, Chairman and Managing Director, National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), and several others were present in the event.
