Department of Posts will be celebrating National Postal Week from 6th October to 10th October, 2025. During this week a major emphasis will be placed on increasing the visibility of Postal services and expanding the customer base. Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General, North Gujarat Region, Ahmedabad said that National Postal Week-2025 has been designed in line with the upgradation of postal technology, showcasing the India Post’s commitment to modernization and innovation. Advanced Postal Technology is transforming the Postal network into a faster, more reliable, and transparent system. Beyond traditional services, citizen-centric Postal and financial services are reaching every corner of the country, strengthening financial inclusion, digital empowerment, and last-mile connectivity.

Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that During the Postal week, every day will be focused on a particular product or service with various activities and events.
6th October, 2025 (Monday) – Technology Day
7th October, 2025 (Tuesday) – Financial Inclusion Day
8th October, 2025 (Wednesday) – Philately & Citizen Centric Services Day
9th October, 2025 (Thursday) – World Post Day
10th October, 2025 (Friday) – Customer Day
Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that 'World Post Day' is celebrated all over the world on 9th October on the anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in 1874. The purpose of World Post Day is to create awareness about the Posts’ role in the everyday life of people and businesses, as well as their contribution to global, social and economic development. This year World Post Day theme is ‘#POST FOR PEOPLE LOCAL SERVICE. GLOBAL REACH’.
Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav told that to foster greater understanding of Postal operations and technology among youth, students from various schools will be invited to visit Post offices and Mail Offices, gaining insight into the vital functions and rich history of the Postal system. A range of interactive and educational activities will also be held, including Quiz, Stamp Design competitions, Dhai Aakhar Letter Writing Competition. Customer meet for bulk customers will also be organized to inform customers about the new initiative taken under Mails and Parcel and obtain their feedback on the services offered. Awareness programme on Dak Ghar Niryat Kendra will be conducted to facilitate ODOP, GI, MSME exporters for better services.
Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav further added that Quiz at Post Offices/Railway Mail Service on new Tech, Camps for Financial Inclusion (focused on Sampoorna Sukanya Gram), Postal Life Insurance/RPLI camps, Dak Chaupal in every Sub Division and Head Post Office, visit of School Children, Quiz, Dhai Akhar Letter Writing Competition in school (Theme: Letter to My Role Model), Camps in school on Deen Dayal Sparsh Yojana, Philatelic Group Discussion with Philatelist, Aadhaar Camps in Schools and remote areas, Tree plantation under “EK Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative, Postathon Walk – Nation wide Walking event, promoting the message of “Vocal for Local”, Nukkad Natak focusing on behaviour with customers will also be conducted during National Postal week.
