Reinforcing its commitment to community welfare, SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant’s Rajhara Mines Hospital organised its 15th one-day free Comprehensive Health Camp on 1st September 2025. The initiative brought together senior doctors and specialists from the Plant’s Medical & Health Services department and Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital & Research Centre, offering a wide range of consultations, treatments, and preventive care sessions to the local community.

 

The camp catered to diverse healthcare needs of the residents, providing over 580 consultations in a single day along with diagnostic tests and treatments. Patients benefited from 13 intra-articular injections, seven plaster applications, and minor surgical procedures. Preventive healthcare sessions were also conducted, raising awareness about healthy lifestyle practices and precautionary measures.

Organised under the guidance of Dr. Ravindranath M., ED (Medical & Health Services), the camp was supported by senior leadership including Dr. Vinita Dwivedi, Dr. Kaushlendra Thakur, Dr. Saurabh Mukherjee, and Dr. Uday Kumar from the M&HS department, along with Mr. R.B. Gaharwar, CGM (Rajhara Mines), and Shri Tushar Rai Choudhary, HR Officer. The Rajhara Medical Hospital team, led by Dr. Manoj Daharwal, Sr. Consultant & In-charge, also played a key role in ensuring smooth execution.

The camp was spearheaded by Dr. Kaushlendra Thakur, CMO (M&HS), and featured a panel of specialists across multiple disciplines. Among those extending their expertise were Dr. Pramod Binayke (Medicine), Dr. Chandan Das (Cardiology), Dr. Jayita Sarkar (Pain Management), Dr. Emmanuel Massey (Orthopaedics), Dr. Kaushik Kishore (Paediatrics), Dr. Deepali Gupta (Ophthalmology), Dr. Himani Gupta (Gynaecology & Obstetrics), Dr. Vanita Sharma (Dentistry), Dr. Dheeraj Sharma (General Surgery), Dr. Shweta Verma (ENT), and Dr. Shashank Agrawal (Dermatology).

The team also included Mrs. Lata Mishra (Jr. Manager), Mr. Vikas Pandey (Physiotherapy), Dr. Sariputta (DNB, Orthopaedics), Dr. Gaurav Vyas (DNB, Medicine), Dr. Shraddha (DNB, Gynaecology & Obstetrics), Dr. Srishti (DNB, Ophthalmology), Ms. Rukhsar (Physiotherapy Trainee), and Mr. Kalol (Radiology Technician).

The camp not only addressed immediate health concerns but also highlighted the Plant’s sustained focus on preventive healthcare and its commitment to extending quality medical services beyond the workplace, directly benefiting the community around Rajhara Mines.
