To commemorate the 79th Independence Day of India, the Ministry of Defence’s Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Indian Coast Guard), Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and National Cadet Corps (NCC), is organizing band performances across various cities of India, including prominent locations in Pune’s Shaniwarwada and Gandhi National Museum.

These performances, scheduled for the evening of 15th August 2025, aim to honor our freedom fighters, foster patriotism, and celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor. The initiative also intends to inspire the younger generation to uphold the values that define our nation.

In Maharashtra, the following seven iconic venues will witness these stirring musical displays:

• Gateway of India, Mumbai
• Shaniwarwada, Pune
• Flora Fountain, Mumbai
• Diksha Bhumi, Nagpur
• Gandhi National Museum, Pune
• Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST), Mumbai
• Bandstand, Bandra

This pan-India initiative spans 28 States, 8 Union Territories, and 96 cities, with a total of 142 band locations including the participation of:

• Army (20 locations)
• Navy (09)
• Air Force (07)
• Indian Coast Guard (01)
• NCC (18)
• CRPF (17)
• ITBP (09)
• CISF (04)
• SSB (11)
• BSF (13)
• IDS (01)
• RPF (19)
• Assam Rifles (13)

These performances are not only musical tributes but also reminders of India’s proud legacy of freedom and its vibrant future.
