The Karm Shiromani Award ceremony was held at Steel Melting Shop-2 (SMS-2) of SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant  Shri S.K. Ghosal, CGM (SMS-2) was the Chief Guest on this occasion.

During the ceremony, SMS-2 shop-floor achievers were felicitated with the Karm Shiromani Award for April and May 2025. The awardees included Shri Arun Kumar Bhoi, Engineering Associate (CCS Operations); Shri Dashrath Lal Patel, Engineering Associate (CS Mechanical); Shri Chetan Lal Rana, Junior Engineer; Shri Lawrence Kumar Madhukar, Engineering Associate (CCS Mechanical); Shri Sunil Ingle, Engineering Associate (CS Electrical); and Shri Yogendra Kumar, Junior Engineer.

Congratulating the award recipients, Shri Ghosal commended their dedication and urged all employees of SMS-2 to prioritise safe working practices while maintaining production. “Our foremost priority is the safety of our employees. Through your exemplary work culture, you have turned challenges into opportunities and successfully executed several difficult tasks,” he said.

Senior Officials including, Shri Saurabh Jain, GM (SMS-2); Shri S.P. Dwivedi, GM (SMS-2); Shri Balam Singh, GM (SMS-2); Shri G. Ravikant, GM (SMS-2); Shri B. Bala, GM & Departmental Safety Officer (SMS-2); Shri Dinesh Kumar Agrawal, GM (SMS-2); Shri Nitin Agnihotri, DGM (SMS-2); Shri N.P. Toppo, AGM (SMS-2); and Shri Sanjeev Singh, AGM (SMS-2), were also present at the Award Function.

Dignitaries and guests congratulated the awardees and appreciated their contributions, observing that such recognitions encourage employees and significantly contribute to the overall growth of the organisation.

The programme was compered by Shri K.D. Baghel, ALWO (HR–Steel Zone-2), and Shri R.K. Thakur.
