EPFO, Zonal Office, Kolkata organised a Seminar-cum-Workshop today, 2025 at ESIC Auditorium, Salt Lake City, Kolkata, where the representatives of industries and business, trade unions, representatives of various Associations and other stakeholders were invited to be briefed about the nuances of PM VIKSIT BHARAT ROZGAR YOJANA to promote employment generation, enhance employability and strengthen social security- particularly in the manufacturing sector.

Shri B. Lalzamang, Addl. CPFC, EPFO, Kolkata Zone, Addl. Secretary, Deptt. of Labour, Govt. of West Bengal, Addl. Commissioner & Regional Director, ESIC, Deputy CLC(Central), Kolkata along with other dignitaries were present in the Function. During the Function, the benefits of the Scheme have been highlighted which are as follows:

·         First-time employees will receive an incentive equal to one month’s wage (up to ₹15,000).

 ·         Employers creating new jobs will receive incentives for two years, extendable to four years for the manufacturing sector.

 ·         The scheme will be applicable to jobs created between 1st August 2025 and 31st July 2027.

 ·         The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is the nodal agency for its implementation.
