Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) today announced a significant achievement with the official validation of its fire and safety courses offered by the School of Private, Industrial, and Corporate Security Management (SPICSM) by the Government of Gujarat. This validation marks a pivotal moment, making all students graduating from these courses eligible for government recruitment in fire and emergency services across the state.

This development is a testament to RRU's commitment to providing high-quality, industry-relevant education and training. The approval ensures that trained professionals are inducted into critical emergency response roles within government departments and public sector undertakings, enhancing the safety and security infrastructure of Gujarat.

Over the past three years, more than 100 students have successfully completed the Residential Firefighter Certificate Course (FCC), the Residential Firefighter Certificate Course for Women (FCCW), and the Sub Fire Officer’s Course (SFO). These graduates are now eligible to apply for positions as firemen and sub-fire officers within the Gujarat government. RRU's School of Private, Industrial, and Corporate Security Management has also played a crucial role in the recruitment process for firemen and sub-fire officers. Since December 2024, the school has organized recruitment processes for over 5000 candidates in collaboration with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and Model Nagarpalika of the Gujarat Government. This collaboration underscores RRU's commitment to providing skilled professionals for critical public services.

Mr. Nimesh Dave, Director of SPICSM, expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, stating, "We are very happy to see the outcome of the effort we have taken during the last so many days. This approval reinforces the high academic and professional training standards maintained by RRU. This will enhance the employability of our students and strengthen Gujarat’s safety preparedness infrastructure."

He further stated that the validation of RRU's fire and emergency services courses signifies a commitment to developing a cadre of highly skilled professionals. This initiative directly enhances Gujarat's emergency response capabilities by providing government departments and public sector undertakings with access to a well-trained workforce, thereby improving the state's ability to effectively manage and respond to emergencies and safeguard its citizens.

In a separate development, RRU has signed a strategic agreement with the Uttar Pradesh (UP) Fire and Emergency Services. Under this agreement, RRU will provide comprehensive training to newly recruited officials, aligning with the training patterns established by the UP Government and tailored to the specific needs of the region. This collaboration aims to equip the youth of Uttar Pradesh with essential skills in fire safety, industrial safety, and emergency response, contributing to a safer and more resilient society. The training programs will cover a wide range of topics, including fire prevention, firefighting techniques, hazardous materials management, and emergency medical response.

RRU continues to expand its partnerships and programs to meet the evolving needs of the security and safety landscape, contributing to a safer and more secure India.

This partnership aims to empower thousands of young individuals with professional competencies in fire and safety, creating new employment avenues and bolstering UP’s disaster response readiness. The initial phase of this collaboration will see RRU training 600 fire and safety officers in Uttar Pradesh, with a long-term objective of training approximately 200,000 officers to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the state.

"We are delighted with these developments, which reflect RRU's dedication to excellence in security and safety education," said Mr. Nimesh Dave, Director, SPICSM, RRU. He further said, "The validation from the Government of Gujarat and the partnership with the UP Fire and Emergency Services are testaments to the quality of our programs and our commitment to preparing the next generation of fire and emergency professionals."
