Shri. R. Chidambaranathan assumed charge as Head of News Unit of Akashvani Chennai on 04 July 2025. He joined the Indian Information Service as a Group B Officer in 1998 and was elevated to Group A in the year 2015. Over the period of time, he has served in various departments of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting in New Delhi, Chennai, and Puducherry. Prior to this he held the post of General Manager, Employment News, Publication Division, New Delhi.
