Postmaster General Krishna Kumar Yadav reviewed progress of Postal Services in Ahmedabad, Emphasizes Achievement of Targets

The Government of India’s flagship schemes have been prominently implemented through post offices. The Department of Posts is committed to bringing the vision of ‘Digital India’ and ‘Financial Inclusion’ to the last miles. These views were expressed by Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General, North Gujarat Region, on May 6, 2025, during the inauguration of the newly constructed Ahmedabad City Postal Division Office in the Navrangpura Head Post Office building. On this occasion, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices Shri Vikas Palve and Deputy Superintendent Shri S.K. Verma were also present. Having both the Senior Superintendent’s Office and Navrangpura Head Post Office in the same building will improve coordination and communication, thereby enhancing service quality. SSPOs will now be able to directly monitor the functioning of the Head Post Office along with other Post Offices, which will increase accountability and improve performance.

Postmaster General Shri K K Yadav held a meeting at the newly constructed Senior Superintendent’s Office to conduct a detailed review of postal services and visited the Navrangpura Head Post Office. While interacting with postal employees, he emphasized on being polite and courteous with all the customers and achieving assigned targets across various postal services. For public convenience, he instructed to increase the timing of the Aadhar counter in Navrangpura Head Post Office and make it operational in two shifts. He also instructed to increase the international mail business by promoting the Dakghar Niryat Kendra more among the entrepreneurs. He emphasized on increasing the productivity of the parcel packaging unit. He appreciated Ahmedabad’s performance in opening the highest number of savings accounts in Gujarat (2.62 lakh accounts) during the last financial year. He also gave instructions to connect more people with the recently launched ‘Gyan Post’ service.

Senior Superintendent of Post Offices Shri Vikas Palve welcomed PMG Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav and briefed him about the progress of postal services in the Ahmedabad City Division. He expressed a strong commitment toward excellence in Savings Bank, Postal Life Insurance, India Post Payments Bank, Speed Post, Parcel, Aadhaar and other citizen centric services in the current financial year.

On this occasion, Senior Postmaster Shri S K Verma, Assistant Superintendent Shri Hardik Rathod, Shri S N Ghori, Shri Alkesh Parmar, Shri H J Parikh, Shri Ramesh T Patel, Shri Ronak Shah, Inspector Shri Vishal Chauhan, Shri Yatharth Dubey with other officials were present.
