FLAGGING OFF OF THE EXTENDED SERVICE OF TRAIN NOS. 56625/56626 & TRAIN NOS. 566278/56628 MANGALURU CENTRAL – KABAKA PUTTUR – MANGALURU CENTRAL PASSENGER TRAINS TO SUBRAHMANYA ROAD BY Shri V. SOMANNA, HON’BLE UNION MINISTER OF STATE FOR RAILWAYS AND JALSHAKTI

Today at Mangaluru Central Railway Station, the extended service of Train Nos. 56625/56626 and Train Nos. 56627/56628 Mangaluru Central – Kabaka Puttur – Mangaluru Central Passenger to Subrahmanya Road was flagged off by Shri V. Somanna, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Railways and JalShakti.

This extension is expected to improve daily commute convenience between Mangaluru Central and Subrahmanya Road, offering a more reliable travel option for regular passengers. It will strengthen rail connectivity across the Dakshina Kannada region, enhancing overall transportation efficiency. Pilgrims visiting the Kukke Subrahmanya temple will benefit from better accessibility. Additionally, this will opens up new economic prospects for the region. A large number of members of the public witnessed the event. These developments are expected to make travel more convenient for passengers in the region. Shri V. Somanna stated that under the leadership of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the nation is progressing rapidly. In line with this development, Indian Railways is undertaking station redevelopment projects and introducing high-speed trains to provide citizens with a world-class commuting experience.

Shri U.T.Khader Fareed, Hon’ble Speaker of Karnataka Legislative Assembly; Captain Brijesh Chowta, Hon’ble Member of Parliament; Shri D.Vedavyasa Kamath, Member of Legislative Assembly; Shri Y. Bharath Shetty, Member of Legislative Assembly; and Smt. Bhagirathi Murulya, Member of Legislative Assembly also graced the occasion along with the Hon’ble minister. Divisional Railway Manager Arun Kumar Chaturvedi and other officials were also present at the function.
