Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) proudly celebrated International Women’s Day, reaffirming its commitment to empowering women through a variety of initiatives aimed at fostering gender equality and enhancing women’s roles in society. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed guests and prominent women achievers who have made significant contributions in their respective fields.

Throughout the year, RRU is dedicated to promoting women’s empowerment by organizing a series of awareness programs, seminars, and workshops. These initiatives are designed to address crucial topics that impact women’s lives and well-being. Key areas of focus include health and hygiene, nutrition, legal rights, gender sensitivity, self-defence, women-centric skill development, financial literacy, and recreational activities.

The celebration featured Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, Vice-Chancellor of RRU, as the Chief Guest, alongside esteemed speakers including Dr. (Ms.) Rashmi Sharma, Deputy Director at SAC (ISRO); Smt. Syalu S. Maharana, Commandant of 135(M) BN CPRF in Gandhinagar; Ms. Veena Gupta, Founder of Seam Risk India; and Ms. Kuljinder Hundal, Group Captain of the Air Force in Gandhinagar. Their participation underscored the importance of collaboration among women leaders to inspire future generations.

In his address, Prof. Patel emphasized the university’s ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive environment where women can thrive academically and professionally. He highlighted that empowering women is not only a moral imperative but also essential for societal progress.

As part of its mission to support women’s empowerment throughout the year, RRU will continue to implement research projects that delve into pressing issues affecting women today. By fostering dialogue and education on these topics, RRU aims to equip women with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate challenges effectively.

Every year, we celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of our female students and staff who excel in sports, academics, research, and community outreach. Additionally, a newsletter highlighting the achievements of women in security services was released on this day. Their success reflects their dedication and hard work under the inspiring leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, Vice-Chancellor of RRU. At RRU, empowering women is not merely an initiative; it is a fundamental aspect of our culture.
